As the founder of  Rainbow's End Publishing Company, I published Christian books for aspiring writers for sixteen years. When I retired in order to write full-time, I truly discovered gold at Rainbow's End.  The gold I refer to is a selection of books that I recommend to web site visitors.  Some are written by me; others by established and new authors whose work I believe is worthy of promoting.   Please note that www.bookreviewers.org is our sister web site.  Authors who wish to have their books reviewed by professionals, should check out this site.

At the bottom of the page you will find links to our most popular free e-books:  Had the Choice Been Mine (Bettie's near-death experience ), The Last Word ( Getting beyond tragedy and grief to forgiveness), a  Poetry Manual, and Dusty, the Small Dog with Big Ideas, a delightful animated picture book for children.

 Five Star Books!

The Stepping Stone Book (The Children's Rhyming Bible) by Bettie Tucker

Originally titled The Children's Rhyming Bible, in the third printing, the book was renamed The stepping Stone book because it proved to be very popular with adults as well as children.
This book is in its third printing. At last a Children's Bible has been published that is accurate in doctrine and holds the interest of children of all ages. Nine years of study, and consultation with an editorial board consisting of clergy of various faiths, resulted in what has proven to be the publisher's best-selling book. The rhythm and rhyme of the words with their flow are pleasant to the ear, and the messages are easily understood. The words, however, are recognizable Scripture. This adaptation of the Bible is not too simplified . . . nor is it too complicated. Enjoyed by children ages nine to ninety!

The book Henri and the Alien by Lookman has all the necessary ingredients to capture and hold the attention of children who have hungry imaginations and a thirst for adventure.  As an adult, I, too, found myself captivated by the “out of this world” plot with its varied, colorful characters.  The storyline is centered around Henrietta, a red-headed young girl who is referred to as “Henri.”  Raised by Humphrey and Ada Fitzgrumpy for nearly eleven years, she had no idea that they weren’t her real parents but thought them rather strange.  Outwardly, they appeared to be a nice couple, totally absorbed with one another; however, they treated Henri as a servant instead of a daughter.  Read this entire review by IP Book Reviewers by clicking on the book cover to the left.

Medical Misfit by Jalene Corbin

When individuals are desperately sick and their primary care physicians and specialists fail to render an accurate diagnosis, where do the patients go for help? If patients present symptoms that aren't typical textbook cases, whose responsibility is it to make certain that life-stealing health problems do not become life-threatening ones? In Medical Misfit, Doctor, Why Can't You Diagnose Me? Jalene Corbin addresses these questions and tells of being trapped on a medical merry-go-round when she encountered health problems that seemed to be experienced by only a small percentage of the population. Her true-story, first-person account, is presented in an unusual and riveting format that readers will find enlightening, entertaining, and very educational. A lymph node infection, interstitial cystitis (IC), a systemic yeast infection, an incorrect diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, and sexual misconduct by a supposedly respected physician nearly destroyed her physically and emotionally. Readers will react with disbelief, outrage, and sympathy, undoubtedly fearing that they could find themselves in the same position. Or, perhaps, they are already there--desperate and slowly losing all hope of ever getting better. Without Jalene's faith, a loving husband, family members, supportive friends, and some God-placed caring physicians, she doesn't know how she could have gotten through each crisis.  The foreword to Medical Misfit was written by Dr. John Parks Trowbridge, M.D., FACAM. Among the many books that he has authored is The Yeast Syndrome, a proven best seller that helped, and is still helping, an untold number of patients.

"If you are interested in your own health--this book is a must!" G. A. Bixler, IP Book Reviewer

"...these medical experiences are all too common and, in my opinion, most could be prevented. Yeast overgrowth remains one of the most common reasons a patient presents himself or herself to my office for care." -Dr. Conan J. Shaw, B.S., D.C., C.N.C.

"Jalene shares valuable perspectives to enhance the wellbeing of you, your family, and your friends..." -John Parks Trowbridge, M.D., FACAM

"All things considered, it is an extremely difficult thing for a sexual assault victim to speak up against such a 'trusted, respected, pillar of the community' as a physician." -Dr. N. Douglas Wiegand, Ph.D., LPC

"The authoress laments her lack of initiative in not asserting herself more in regard to what she now knows. That calls for early education of all persons." -Ray C. Wunderlich, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.

Unforgettable!  This is the word that echoed in my mind after reading Boy Imperturbe by Andrew Nardo.  Although all writers must use their imaginations and writing skills to create a novel that will hold the interest of readers, the author went far beyond the norm in plotting this intriguing work of fiction.  Without his powerful imagination, the main character of Danny Snodgrass could not have come alive with such realism.

Who is Danny?  He is a seven-year-old boy who finds the circumstances of his life so difficult that he uses his imagination to escape the reality of his surroundings.  Although a common coping technique, Danny’s imagination is so potent that at times reality collides with fantasy, leaving readers anxious about his well-being—even his very survival.   Read the entire review at www.bookreviewers.org/boy_imperturbe.htm

My Book of Life: (A Companion Piece)  Letter to Maya Angelou by Ohuwadahunsi

Little Pieces of Heaven is  part of an incredible series.  Without a doubt  this book, as well as the others, all deliver powerful messages.  The "little pieces" are gems of wisdom, obviously inspired by the intellect of the author, and even more importantly, the indwelling spirit.  The thought-provoking words offer guidance for daily living, showing wit, wisdom and knowledge of life with all its joys, temptations and man-made entrapments.  Though the selections contain invaluable advice and consequences of actions, every so often, readers will smile in awe at the method of presentation and the utilization of word skills that so effectively speak reason and reality to the heart.  When ingested properly, the messages are words in motion, moving one toward a more fulfilling life.  The entire series of books is much more than poetry hemmed in by rhythm and meter; it contains free, unencumbered text that awakens the senses with life-changing messages. These are books that will help readers face the challenges of everyday life.  To view the published series, visit:   www.mybookoflife.org
